Always losing your keys? According to Land Rover, the sensible solution is to buy a Discovery Sport.
Land Rover’s middle-sized family 4×4 has been given a package of updates for 2016 including new colours, a bigger touchscreen and extra active safety systems. Perhaps the most interesting of the lot, however, is a new Bluetooth tracking system for belongings.
Tiny tracking devices by a company called Tile can be attached to keys, wallets, bags and the like, and linked to the Discovery Sport’s touchscreen via Land Rover’s InControl smartphone app. The system can let you know whether they’re not in the car or not, and supply on-screen directions to their last known location. There’s also a 90-decibel alarm on the tracker as a last resort; let’s hope you didn’t leave your keys in a library.
